Ok, so many of you out there will not be as passionate as I am about the science of astronomy, but if you feeling like looking up at the night sky sometime, next Wednesday at eight pm is the time to do it. Mars will be the closest it has ever been to Earth, and will be visible to the naked eye! This happens every 60,000 years people, so don't waste this opportunity to look up and see what an amazing solar system and universe we live in!

In other news....I gave in my English Literature essay. Put the wrong due date on it, but hopefully that won't matter.

Steven's coming to stay tomorrow for the weekend.....I look forward to it very much....I love exploring the city with him. I wouldn't care to do it by myself particularly. 'tis good to have someone to share it with. And we'll work on our novel together while we're at it.

Got my alumnus newsletter today. I am currently very afraid that some of my friends are going to turn into the elitist snobs that run the Alumnae committee. The column written by an alumnus that I won't name certainly made me feel rather stupid, given that she's a genius studying science at UQ, and I'm a lowly Toowoomba arts student. But you get that I guess.

My new addition to goals in life: Not to end up a private schoolkid housewife-type who goes out to tea in skirt suits and has only a social life with other similar mothers. Women like that only make me more determined to succeed in having career. Bleh, I valued my time at Stuartholme very much.....I doubt, however, that I'll keep many of the friendships I made there. Maybe one or two friends, but's all in the past.

Well, listen to me rambling! I'm off to bed so that I can get up for work tomorrow without trouble.

  • Steph's LJ turns 10

This journal turned 10 years old today. So let's start with an appropriate celebration gif: It took me half an hour of sniffing around on Tumblr…
