The Oscar nominations are out. Wowee, Chicago got 13 nominations. Very impressive. Alot of good films came out last year, and this year, so it'll be kind of tough to call.

My bets?

Best Actor- Jack Nicholson for About Schmidt. It's a good performance...and just a bit above the other nominee's performances. However, I'm rooting for Michael Caine.

Best Actress- mmmm, hard to pick. I want Nicole Kidman to win...and there's a good chance she will. Julianne Moore's performance in Far From Heaven was impressive though, ditto for Renee Zellwegger in Chicago and Salma Hayek in Frida. And then there's Diane Lane in Unfaithful. Meh, it's a tough one.

Best Supporting Actor- Nngh...I'm rooting for Christopher Walken. But Chris Cooper's supposed to be very's Ed Harris. And Paul Newman. mmm....I think Cooper will win, but I'm cheering for Walken, cause he rocks on. Nyah.

Best Supporting Actress- Cheering for Catherine Zeta Jones and Queen Latifah. But....I think Meryl Streep might get it. Or Julianne Moore. Or Kathy Bates. mmm. Another close call.

Best Picture- I want Chicago or TTT to win. But I think The Hours will probably get it.

All that said....ah yes, the ordination thing. Mmmm....kind of dull. But impressive at the same time. There were about twenty bishops (and one Cardinal) in attendance, all wearing their mitres like crowns. And a couple of very flustered priests directing them around like traffic cops. I didn't really serve, as there were about half a dozen seminarians there doing that. And a number of good-looking ones. Rawr! Hehe.

Anyway...time to get moving...another day at the gift shop. Fun. :-p
