mmm.... - Vox Audita Perrit, Literra Scripta Manet.... — LiveJournal
The heard word is lost, the written letter remains...
It's been a while since I've heard a piece of music that reminded me of Professor Quirrell....this one does. Pretty, dark violin melody.

So yes....I'm back from Sydney. And I had a really good time. Though I still prefer Melbourne over Sydney. Sydney's way too crowded for my liking. Urgh...all the people! It's a clasutrophobic's nightmare. The new year's fireworks, from what I saw of them, were pretty amazing. And there's certainly alot to see.

I won't comment much on my one week stay in the Blue Mountains before that.....mainly cause it was cold, rainy and I didn't enjoy it that much. Christmas wasn't that bad. We opened presents before we left though.

What did I get, you ask? A number of DVDs including Let Them Eat Cake (which REG guest starred in as a sadistic ex-husband with a fetish for fruit. *squee*), The Young Ones and a few others. Some very nice clothes. Oh, and of all things, a Jesus action figure. Andrew will laugh his head off when I show him. You wind it up and Jesus skitters around raising his arms. At the moment, he's facing off with my Norman Osborn figure. I should take a photo....it's very amusing.

New Year's Resolutions? Nngh....just a few. I don't exactly feel like sharing 'em at the moment, since they're pretty silly and you'll probably laugh at me for them.

Did I see any celebrities? No (Well, I did see one, but none of you would know him). :-p But they were in the city, I'll say that.
Rachel Griffiths ("You're terrible Muriel!") got married on New Year's day in Brighton (suburb in Sydney), Russell Crowe was holding his engagement party on his farm, aaaaaand the one that really clinched it, also marrying on New Year's day in St. Mary's Cathedral (attended mass there on Sunday. Archbishop Pell has a big posse of priests and they're all young and good looking. Rock on!) was Miranda Otto to my White Collar Blue sort-of-crush Peter O'Brien. God, I am jealous of her. Not only has she dated Richard Roxburgh and David Wenham, she has now married Peter O'Brien. Gah! She gets all the good looking ones! And she co-stars with good looking ones too.

What else....saw Josh Groban on tv. Thought of Sevvie and Kate. And he was wearing his leather trousers again. I have to admit again......he's pretty damn cute.

And speaking of Sevvie...I got your present. It's wonderful! Gah, I will enjoy listening to that while I write. I'm so sorry your present is going to be late....I was going to send it in Sydney, but time escaped me. :-p It's going off tomorrow though. Promise.

Besides all that, not much else to say. Hornblower is starting on TV tomorrow night. Very thrilled at the thought of seeing the gorgeous Ioan Gruffud on the small screen again. Have also seen the previews for Hound of the Baskervilles. Ian, Alan and Richard. Perfect.

That's all the rambling for now....*collapses in exhaustion*

Yay! You're back!

Wow, Miranda is a lucky gal...I could almost hate her if I didn't love her. Glad you liked the pressie! Took me forever to find some of the songs and edit it properly without it sounding like total shite.

So...does this mean I'll be hearing from you on MSN later?

Glad you had a good time on your vacation. =)
Once one of my friends brought in a Jesus action figure as part of a presentation. I should get him to send me a picture of it or something...
Re: Hound. Yes, yes, and YES. Cannot wait till the 19th. Oh, and here's a nice cast pic (http://www.richard-e-grant.com/Articles/UKVogueMagazine-Nov2002a.jpg) to welcome you back. =)

P.S. *sigh* Young Ones DVD...wish I had one...I have a strange fascination with Mike. I don't know why. It even sort of frightens me. =)
