Melbourne - Vox Audita Perrit, Literra Scripta Manet.... — LiveJournal
The heard word is lost, the written letter remains...
Melbourne lived up to its promises as usual. Loved the food, loved the bookshops, loved the whole place. I might go back for a weekend later in the year....there's an exhibition about Tim Burton's films opening in Federation Square in June that I would hate to miss.

Waiting for Godot was fantastic, loved it. It was funny and poignant and the whole cast were brilliant. Walked out of the theatre actually liking Roger Rees' performance as Vladimir best, but Ian McKellen was mesmerising. He has gorgeous eyes and a very intense gaze. There were some actors in the audience that night too- I stood about a metre away from Geoffrey Rush when we were going into the theater, omg. And Jacek Koman was there too (ok, that name won't mean much, but he played the Narcoleptic Argentinean in Moulin Rouge).

Waiting to pass judgement on New Who, since I haven't seen part two of the Weeping Angels/River Song two-parter. I wasn't scared by the Angels in Blink, but I have to say that the scene with Amy in front of the tv and the Angel coming closer and going through the screen freaked me out.

Oh, and I saw Iron Man 2. Dammit, I don't think I was supposed to come out of the cinema thinking Justin Hammer was the biggest awesome surprise in the film. I know he was a douchey try-hard, but he was rocking those three piece suits and nerd glasses and I'm a sucker for both those things. Yeah, RDJ is awesome, but Sam Rockwell just about stole the show for me despite Hammer being such an obvious loser. Can we have him back for the next film please?

The worst part about coming back from the weekend away was remembering I had a case study assignment to finish by the 24th. :/ Back to my toiling over information literacy and public libraries...

I certainly didn't want Hammer to succeed but I thought he was hilarious! Sam Rockwell is always awesome.

This is a good gif and you should feel good for posting it! *thumbs up*

IDK, I'd seen and liked him in other films (reminds me that I should get Frost/Nixon on dvd) but he was really in epic form here. And after seeing him get down in Charlie's Angels, I bet the dancing onto the stage was totally his idea.
