Fuck you, Telstra!
The 15th has come and gone, and we still have no phoneline OR internet- Telstra are now telling us they can't fix it until the 2nd of April- so we will be going without for a further two weeks- that's six weeks for those of you counting at home. Dad is starting to raise hell about it, complaining to Telstra, our own service provider- he even rang into the ABC local radio to tell them.

Not that it matters to me particularly at this point- I'm leaving for Japan on Saturday and I'm assuming that everything will be back to normal when I come back on the 8th- but it has to be said that this is really unacceptable and I hope that Dad's plans to 'raise hell' work.

Having no internet at home has meant I've spent a lot of time out- I went to see Watchmen on Saturday (didn't like it as much as V for Vendetta; way better than LoEG and From Hell as far as Moore adaptations go; also Matthew Goode was amazingly pretty and very pimp in an Aryan sort of way, and I thought the use of 99 Luftballoons worked, oddly enough) and on my day off tomorrow I'm seeing Dean Spanley, which should be really good between Jeremy Northam and Peter O'Toole's acting.

Most of my packing for the trip is done; I've also booked to go to the Ghibli Museum, the museum for the animation studio that made the classic My Neighbour Totoro, so I'm very excited about that.

And finally, a happy beleated birthday to my little corner of the web here! I have been blogging here for seven years now, and this is still my favourite place to blog despite the dramas and struggles.
