Ok, srsly guys, there cannot be this much awesome in a movie, between Peter Jackson, Andy Serkis, Thomas Sangster and maybe the Pegg/Frost OTP. Gah! Now I'm even sadder that the Moff isn't writing all the screenplays!
In Real Life news.....I'm flat out. Like most of what I've written on the thesis, but chapter one is still full of fail, because I can't find anything I'm looking for in the scholarship on Old Testament Hellenistic Greek/Jew relations in Daniel/Esther/Maccabees 1 and 2. I'd go to the library on Saturday to do more research, but it's the AFL Grand Final and the annual pilgrimage of my brother and his family is being made to our house to watch it, along with my older sister, since she happens to be in the country. Which means I'll probably be spending some of the morning in the backyard kicking the Sherrin around with Will and Ella.
Still, I'll get some work done on Sunday. And to take my mind off the thesis writing, I'm going to go and see WALL-E with Amy at South Bank. Yay for cute Pixar robots! On the downside, still woefully out of the loop with pretty much everyone. Jannike rang last Saturday to announce her engagement, and to ask me whether I'd be maid of honour at her wedding next year. I said yes, and proceeded to feel rather guilty about the fact that I haven't spoken to her in months because I've been living in a cave with the thesis (metaphorically that is, although writing a thesis in a cave is probably a great idea in terms of having no distractions whatsoever).
Not long to go now though...I can't say it enough though: I'm going to be glad to see the back of this thing.
