The heard word is lost, the written letter remains...
Gah, got talked into giving blood on Thursday by a Red Cross lady on the phone. She rang while I was doing thesis work in the library on the computer and while I should've gotten up and gone to the area for mobile phone users, I ended up having this almost-whispered, superfast conversation that resulted in a 10 O'Clock appointment at the donor van. Still, I'm probably overdue to donate blood. My rabid fear of needles always makes me put off making an appointment with the Red Cross, so them calling me was probably a good thing.

That is all. Oh, and to justify my icon: The Brideshead Revisited movie trailer. My apologies to Emma Thompson and Michael Gambon, but DO NOT WANT. The 1982 miniseries was as perfect an adaptation as we're going to get, and this....this looks like rubbish in comparison. D:

regarding: Brideshead Revisited

I'm 3/4ths of the way through it now, and all I can say is

Although, that being said, Ben Whishaw has the right air of oddness for Sebastian. I'd heard about him and Matthew Goode being in, it but I'd assumed Whishaw was Charles because Goode is very pretty.

Even so, this trailer...it's wrong in almost every way imaginable.

Re: regarding: Brideshead Revisited

I read in the newspaper this morning that the British media were up in arms because they thought Aloyisius might have been cut from the film. They haven't, but the producer said quote 'he's been downsized'. :(

The cast do look fantastic, but that trailer just puts me off it completely. And reminds me that I should get the miniseries on dvd and watch that instead.
