I *loved* this episode so much. I got such a Hercules:the Legendary Journeys vibe from it. And that hasn't happened for me in quite a while. I miss that show...

But yes, the Fletcher is definitely hotter now. Definitely - he's got such naughty eyes!

I don't mind the anachronisms too much in this show. Like Xena and Hercules, I like that the writer(s)/producer(s) can have a bit of licence with setting it in the Middle Ages and not get too caught up on the historical details (remember Troy? We have weapons and saddles exactly like real Mycenaean ones, so we don't need to keep to the actual mythology/history/literature of the time... *eyeroll*). It's why I'm so fond of Gladiator as a movie. Damn historical accuracy, just tell me a good story! LOL.

As for Djac being a Saracen woman, it's possible that the peasant class wouldn't be able to identify her as Saracen, and merely thinks "hot chick needs me to rescue her" as you do. That was my first thought when I saw that, anyway.
