Vox Audita Perrit, Literra Scripta Manet....
The heard word is lost, the written letter remains...
I was going to recap Hotel Babylon tonight, but I don't have the energy and decided that watching the Stewart and Colbert hour seemed like a much more relaxing thing to do. Which it was.

I didn't really need to update, but I could not contain my fangirl joy at the fact that Jason Isaacs' series Brotherhood is going to be screening on Showtime for all of next month. I've waited ages for this show and at last we're getting it. Yay!

Also.....Judi, where are you? I'm half tempted to use that 'nudge' function, but as I know I'd find it irritating if someone did it to me, I'm not. But still....how is the Latin going? Are the classics people down there bizarro versions of us? And most importantly, you do miss us, right?!

Current Mood: chipper chipper

*waves* I'm still here, just feeling like death - I'm allergic to Canberra, it would seem - and snowed under with work. After next week, when the worst of the assignments and the Latin midsemester are done with (very grateful to have a boyfriend in Advanced Latin, AJ is being exceedingly helpful).

Most of the Classics people down here (with the apparent exception of the half-dozen who live or have previously lived at Bruce) are relatively normal, which is rather disappointing. Turns out Lizzie Minchin is more in love with BH's Russell Buzby than with Our Caillan (Buzby donated coins and cash to the Classics Museum. That'll do it every time.)

How's life in the steamy subtropics? I'm really missing proper rain.

Is this boyfriend the one that was going to take you to Cirque de Soleil? If so, sounds like things went well. :) Be sure to give us a full update when you're feeling better and less burdened by assignments.

Rain? What rain? ;p I'd love a storm, but it's still quite dry up here. Cooled down heaps in the last couple of days though. Cool enough for me to wear a jacket to work, at least.

I sadly only get to see everyone once a week now, but if the TAFE is on holidays next week, I might be able to come in for a few extra days for research purposes. Libby was not well the last I heard, and according to Beth and Suze there seems to be some minor epidemic going around the classics department. Which isn't unusual, seeing we all tend to pass colds and flu onto each other a fair bit.

Yes, the same one. Went very well indeed (and Varekai was fantastic, as an aside). It's cold enough here that they've turned the central heating on a month earlier than usual, so I'm not relishing the idea of sending winter here :(

Hopefully you can escape the plague by hiding out in the Religion department? Miss Elizabeth seems always to be sick with something or another, the poor chook, I hope it's not serious.

I'd write a proper update now, but I'm a week behind with translations and I have Latin at 9a.m. tomorrow. Bene dormi!
