Little Britain Live
That was so good. Dad was like 'You might be disappointed, it might not be as funny as on tv'. It totally was as funny. And even more shocking than on tv, since it's a stage show and they could get away with more without censors around. Pretty good with the cultural references too. They managed to get in jibes about Ipswich, Guy Sebastian, the Valley, Schapelle Corby and Supre (the last three from the Vicky Pollard skit). They learn quickly!

Lucas and Walliams work so well together. They have great chemistry. And half the humour came from that. In some of the skits, they just couldn't keep straight faces. Walliams in particular was prone to corpsing, then Lucas would follow and then admonish the audience for laughing ("It's your fault, you know!"). And during the Dennis Waterman skit, they conducted a meta discussion about why Waterman is always portrayed as really little. And then in the shopkeeper and the picky man skit ("I'm looking for a can of paint...white, with a hint of black, and bluey red..." "Margaret! Margaret!"), they had a discussion about Walliams' sexuality and ended up riffing on Andy and Lou (and reversing the roles in the process). It was brilliant. XD
