Part two of Nero - Vox Audita Perrit, Literra Scripta Manet.... — LiveJournal
The heard word is lost, the written letter remains...
Part two of Nero
Yes, still terrible. I was quite interested to see that the filmmakers decided to include St Paul and elements of early Christianity, albeit in a really stupid way (My wife dumps me and becomes a Christian? I know, I'll BURN THE WHOLE CITY!). I'm not sure how accurate the depiction of baptism was either....I expect in time I will, given that I will be reading a lot of early church literature next year. ;p

I will be spending the next week or so writing two thousand words on cosmogony in the ancient world. And Latin study with it. Fun!

Current Mood: tired tired

Any progress reports on Rome? I should send out an e-mail to any interested parties soon...

Oh, I intend to. Waiting on word from Steven as to whether Thursday/Friday'll be a goer for re-burning it in DVD format, so I'll let you know as soon as I hear from his dear Rhodesian self.
