Mal Reynolds vs Tenth Doctor: side by side comparison (pic-heavy and containing spoilers for series two of Doctor Who up to The Idiot's Lantern)

That is great. As are the little comparisons to Simon as well. Hee!

Essay for RELN2401 is coming along slowly. I've actually been studying for my ancient history exam as a way of procrastinating on the essay. ;p I'm going to do some work now though, as I'll be out for most of tomorrow night. :D

Also, I got an e-mail back from UQ's graduation people. The tentative date they've set for my particular graduation ceremony is the 4th of December. My original plan was to be back by this date without seeing my sister, but now that Suzanne's offered the invitation, I'm going to change things a bit. Namely, Brendan and I are leaving before the end of exam block, probably on the 13th or 14th. We spend two weeks in Italy, followed by a couple of days in Dubai, where Suze is going to give us a tour and let us stay with her. If I have any exams on or after those dates, I'm just going to have to arrange an alternate time. I don't get to see Suzanne often, and I'd hate to waste the opportunity.

The plumber hasn't come. I'm annoyed about this since I couldn't go to the gym this afternoon on account of that I was expecting him to come. *sigh* I will have to call tomorrow from work and see what happened. Or maybe I'll call after I finish updating this. I have a rather full day tomorrow, and I'd rather not have this to worry about.

Oh, and...

It was fun. Right from the start. I thought Billie looked gorgeous in her fifties skirt, and the Doctor on the vespa was hot. And so was his quiff, actually. It was all very cute. Kind of disppointed they didn't join in the dancing at the coronation street party, because that would've been cuter. (Yes, all about the cute in this episode. You get the picture.)

However, I'm not sure whether this was better than Gatiss' earlier effort, 'The Unquiet Dead'. Ten's liberal use of the CAPSLOCK OF RAGE was a little too much, except when he was putting the smackdown on the bullying father. The Wire was creepy as all hell though, I will give him (and Maureen Lipman) credit for that. And that the Doctor recorded the Wire onto a video. With Gallifreyan written on the label! What was on it before?

And I can't bloody well believe they cut out the Logopolis reference! No fair!

In other news, now that ABC have set a date for Doctor Who, they need to get onto securing the rights for Life on Mars. Because I really, really need to know what all the fuss is about with that show. *is out of the loop* :(

I loved the quiff. It's been fun watching the craziness of David Tennant's hair through the series. It was a bit IAMANGRYOHYES! that episode with the Doctor wasn't it?

Yeah....he does that every so often in an episode, but it seemed in the entire second half of Idiot's Lantern he was all rage. I've heard that the next ep is a better one, so I can't wait to watch it. :)
