Vox Audita Perrit, Literra Scripta Manet....
The heard word is lost, the written letter remains...
If there's one thing I haven't missed about uni over the holidays, it's going home on a packed bus in peak hour traffic. This rite of passage is one that most uni students go through, unless they have the luxury of a driver's licence. I suppose I could go for mine, but quite frankly? I don't think I'm good at multi-tasking, which probably means I'll crash the car on the first try. So the bus it is for me. The traffic wasn't too bad this afternoon, though. I was home just after five, which is pretty good considering my religion tutorial ended at four.

It rained for most of the weekend. I took mum out to see the Egypt exhibition at South Bank, where we had to queue for about forty minutes to get in. It was worth it, though. There was some amazing artifacts there, as well as a mummy of a woman that died young, which was the main attraction. Afterwards, we went to the nearby cinemas and saw Syriana. A dark film in a lot of ways, but excellent to watch. George Clooney was very good in a role that he typically wouldn't play. He deserved his Oscar nod.

Speaking of which....I am a total sucker for the Oscars. Which is why I'll probably stay up the whole three hours for the telecast. At least I don't have any classes tomorrow, though! In any case, I already know the winners (and I won't mention any here in case I have Aussie friends who don't want to be spoiled), so I'm largely watching for Jon Stewart and the frocks. ;p

Hahahaha, I'm a sucker for the Oscars too - although I have to be out of here at 8am tomorrow, so I won't be up TOOOOO late. I've done my best to stay off any communications device that might give it away for me all day....although having said that, I've just looked outside and there's a hell of a storm brewing!!!

*freaks out at the thought of a black out on Oscar night*
