Oh, God. Casanova has to have been the best BBC period drama I've seen since The Scarlet Pimpernel. Colourful, completely irreverent, bawdy and just plain brilliant. I really want to type up more here, but all it would amount to is incoherent fangirl 'OMGOMG'-type rambling about Tennant/Peter O'Toole/Matt Lucas/just about everything/one else in this.
Bring on part two. It's on the same night as part one of Mary Bryant, so I will tape one, but Davenport and Tennant in one night? That is a lot of British love.
