Vox Audita Perrit, Literra Scripta Manet....
The heard word is lost, the written letter remains...
In case you were wondering.....
.....as to why I put that poem up (which I remembered from Grade 10 poetry study), it's ANZAC day today. The ANZACs were the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and it was on this day about 85 or so years ago that they landed at Gallipoli and were subsequently massacred brutally by the Turks. I've forgotten just how many men died, but certainly thousands, including my Great Uncle Bill. A number of male relatives on my Mother's side joined the army, so it's always been an important day for us.

I'm going to a service later on this afternoon, and then I'm off to see the relics of St Therese of Liseux, which are in our country at the moment. Perhaps 'the little flower' as she was known, can provide me with some much-needed inspiration, seeing that my muses have abandoned me for the moment.
