For shame. - Vox Audita Perrit, Literra Scripta Manet.... — LiveJournal
The heard word is lost, the written letter remains...
For shame.
I haven't updated in over a week, and I've actually had stuff to write about!

Being on holidays is great. My time has been divded between working for dad and just general relaxing. I saw Batman Begins a week and a half ago and was forced to eat my words to my sister about that it would not be as enjoyable as the Tim Burton movies. I loved Cillian Murphy as the Scarecrow more than Christian Bale as Batman (as usual, loving the villain more than the hero). Katie Holmes I thought was quite pointless, but from what I've heard, she won't be in the next one because of all this nonsense with her and Tom Cruise.

Watched lots of tv. House started here last week, and has proved to be everything I was looking forward to (Hugh Laurie, how I love thee...). Doctor Who has been fantastic. The Dalek episode was amazing, and in this week's ep Simon Pegg and Tamsin Greig guest starred, which I loved (more than a hint of Orwell in this episode). Watched bits of Live 8 and managed to catch U2 and The Who. Best bit though, was Ricky Gervais doing his David Brent dance onstage in front of the crowd at the London concert. Heehee.

I took a look at the available curriculum for my subjects next semester. It looks like most of my assessment is going to be crammed into October, at least for my religion subjects. Controversies in Biblical Interpretation looks like the one that'll require the most work, in particular there is a huge assignment that's worth 50% and requires a 12-13 min presentation and accompanying 2500-3000 word essay. Guh. At least the essay's due right at the end of the course. Prophets, Seers and Visionaries looks easier at least, and the assessment there looks like stuff I'll actually be very interesting in doing and is evenly spaced apart.

In the meantime though, I wait with crossed fingers to see my semester results....they're out on Wednesday. If I don't post then, I want to congratulate amritsar who is graduating this semester and going onto postgrad in the next, the lucky bastard. And you'd better turn up and haunt our Virgil translation class next semester, by Jove!

Current Mood: relaxed relaxed

Why yes, you are. Oh, my tag skills fail me so! *fixes*

Love your layout, btw. Where does that quote come from? It sounds very familiar.
