In the past few days....
...I celebrated my birthday....a pretty much quiet affair as far as birthdays go (free time and dinner at a great Italian restaurant in Toowong). Thanks to everyone who left birthday greetings, they were lovely. And thank you Amy, for the scarf! It so happens mum bought me an outfit for my birthday that that scarf will compliment perfectly. ^^

...Tim's left me in charge of organising the servers for the Papal installation mass tomorrow at the cathedral. That means if anything goes wrong, Father Ken will snap or at least glare at me specifically. :-/

...I saw The Interpreter, which I wasn't particularly interested in seeing, but did anyway. Good political thriller, with great insights into the UN HQ in New York. More interested in seeing HHGttG, which is out this week! *cheers*

...had a Latin mid-semester on Thursday. It was pretty....anti-climatic. We translated part of Cicero's prosecution speech of Verres (as opposed to the scary Sallust Cataline Conspiracy) and there was a definite lack of subjunctives, which was a source of great relief to all. Then went out with a few of my Latin classmates and had coffee in the city, followed by a visit to Archives (the big second-hand book store that's off Albert st). I've seriously spent a little too much money in book shops lately, but I did pick up a cheap copy of St. Augustine's Confessions, which I felt I should read, or at least have in my growing classics library. I must resist the temptation to pick up the $33 copy of I, Claudius/Claudius the God that's in Borders right now though. And sincerely hope that it's still in Borders in a few weeks.

Aside from all that, I must randomly recommend the BBC documentary 'Grumpy Old Men', that's showing on the ABC right now, because it features Bill Nighy and a bunch of other men of his generation bitching about such modern technology as mobile phones. Pure gold right there.

Yup, and if you go to mass on Sundays at ten, you'll probably see me there. I'm one of the altar servers. ^_^

Latin's great.....but only because it's extremely tough and when I get a good marks in it, there's an incredible sense of satisfaction that goes with it, LOL.

I'm usually at the Cathedral during the week rather than weekend. I have been to the 10am there, but not in a little while now.

I bet there'd be satisfaction.
Pity about the studying part though... lol
