In other news, I went shopping yesterday with mum. We did a bit of clothes shopping, and then we went and looked at all the pretty books in Borders. I'm still wanting Alan Cumming's novel. And maybe Umberto Eco's Baudilino(sp?). And only nearly all the dvds on the second level. We did buy series three of Black Books (which hasn't screened on tv here) though, so I'll have more cranky Bernard to enjoy.
We also went and saw Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. I enjoyed the book, but the film has left me a little disappointed. Renee Zellwegger was still wonderful as Bridget, and Colin Firth was still unbelievably squee-worthy as Mark Darcy, but too much was changed from the book and it ended up as a sort of rehash of the first film, complete with Hugh Grant smarming around as Daniel Cleaver. However, a scene featuring Grant and Firth wrestling in a fountain to the tune of 'I believe in a thing called love' by the Darkness was still fun to watch. Colin Firth + Water = Good Thing.
Anyway, I think I'll go back to the regularly scheduled perving. And probably end up going through all my old HP fic in a fit of nostalgia. ;p
