If I don't write something fandom-ish soon, I swear I'm going to… - Vox Audita Perrit, Literra Scripta Manet....
The heard word is lost, the written letter remains...
If I don't write something fandom-ish soon, I swear I'm going to explode from creativity overload and rampant X-Men plot bunnies. I think I want a new layout too....maybe a Nightcrawler-themed one. Or something festive. *can't make up mind*

Al, if you're reading this, you and I need to finish off that chat from Sunday. I'm thinking about putting it into prose.

My mind is swarming with fangirlishness. It's ridiculous.

I saw the footage for the Return of the King premiere this evening on the news. God, I love Ian McKellan. And Hugo Weaving. *puddle of goo* I can't wait to see the film....Birch Carrol and Coyle's released the session times for opening day....Mum's asked me or Maryke to go and book the tickets while we're away since booking apparently starts a week before it opens. Very exciting stuff.

What else....the house was decorated this weekend. I'm feeling very festive seeing all the pretty tinsel and lights. And severa! The Trans Siberian orchestra is wonderful listening. Very pretty.

Before work, I went looking for Christmas gifts with mum. The ABC shop has lots of dvds I want. :-p Borders has even more.

DVDs Steph would like to see/purchase:
Longitude (Ian Hart and Jeremy Irons. Gah.)
Hound of the Baskervilles (Ian Hart and Richard E. Grant! *squee*)
Father Ted series two (the season with My Lovely Horse! *want want want*)
Victoria and Albert (pretty Royal mini-series with Colin Firth's adorable little brother playing Prince Albert)
I, Claudius (obvious choice....I yearn to see John Hurt in full flight as Caligula again and of course Derek Jacobi's p-p-poor stt-tut-tuttering Claudius)
The End of the Affair (fast becoming one of my favourite films since it's now one of my favourite books)

I think there might have been others, but they've slipped my mind at the moment. Hm.

I've also been assigned a reading task of sorts by my sister. I'm told that I must absolutely read Dan Brown's 'The Da Vinci Code'. It certainly looks like an intriguing read and my sister has a fair gauge in the sort of things I would like, so I will start reading it when I'm feeling in a bookish mode. I still haven't finished Grahame Greene's 'The Power and the Glory' yet and 'The Quiet American' is still on my to-read list, but they can wait for now.

God, listen to me ramble. I think I'll quite while I'm ahead.

Well, I'll be around tonight so we can finish that chat. Seeing it in prose would be cool.

As for your X-Men plot bunnies, maybe we should try collaberating on a fic? Cause God knows that Magneto hasn't sit still since I got the X2 DVD.
