I hath seen the Matrix Revolutions!

I feel that the two sequels to the first film are not as good as the first because they seem to be playing out the story that first one was setting out.

That said, this one was probably better viewing for me than the second one. I found it easier to see where the Wachowski's influences came from. The fights are reminiscent of Japanese anime television shows in some parts. And there was the obvious Judeo-Christian moments, eg. Neo sacrificing himself to save everyone like Jesus Christ.

The fight scenes were heart-attack inducing in some places! The battle between Zion and the machines was one such example. It was stunning animation though, and I think that makes these two sequels shoe-ins for a SFX Oscar next year.

Fangirly stuff: Hugo Weaving really does have the sexiest eyebrows of any man. And that fight in the rain was just mind-blowing. Very strong performances from Weaving and Reeves there. And I still covet Neo's gorgeous cassock coaty thing. Wonderful.

And yeah...that's all I have to say right now. I definitely liked it better than the second, but it still wasn't as good as the first.
