No lie, the teller I went to at the bank today is studying Latin at UQ (ha, what were the odds? Really?!). In fact, she's taking the Virgil Aeneid IV class. You might see her there, amritsar. :)

I had more to say than this, but it's not coming to me at the moment. The first week of uni has been enjoyable, and I fully expect it to go downhill from next week, when I start work on assessment. I've decided to write about Marius for my first Roman Revolution essay, and I hope to get at least an introduction for that typed over the weekend. And then there is Latin to consider as well. Nice to have John teaching the subject again, but the Aeneid IV class got Denis, much to the Aeneid VI class' collective envy.
I discovered yesterday that Stuartholme were having their athletics carnival on the campus, so I went down to watch the last events after my religion lecture and ended up having a chat with my old maths teacher, Mr Cujes. It's weird seeing it all now, because it feels like (if not is that) most of the teachers I knew have left, replaced by new faces I don't recognise. Still, it's good to catch up.

psyc2321, I'm linking the posts in pixelbee with the iClassics icons (where iCicero comes from). Here, here, here, here, here, here and here. I will still make you an icon myself though, once I find the appropriate inspiration. :)

*insert usual grumbling comment about the fact that HBO's Rome isn't on tv here yet*

Current Mood: okay okay

I know that feeling of realising that all the old teachers from your high school days have gone. Kind of a break with the past, no?

Ah, sorry to burst your bubble dear, but Macrae came second! To Coen, which is sorta like Hufflepuff winning, right? XD

I spoke to Mrs Maynes for a little while, but then I had to run off to see a lecturer. Pity! If I ever find a good enough excuse, I'll have to go and visit the school and have a proper chat with some of the teachers. :)
