Doctor Who rambling and other things
Booked the plane tickets for Rome today. *squeeeeeee!* Two weeks in Italy, and then two days with my sister in Dubai! *dances* Now, to settle the accomodation....that will be done later this week.

Bought 'The Three Doctors' today from the ABC shop. It was a toss-up between that and the box set of the first three One serials. 'Three Doctors' won out because it was cheaper and had Two and Three bitching at each other and One pwning them both ('so you're my replacements- a dandy and a clown!'). Oh, and there's a plot too, isn't there?

Perhaps I'll buy the One boxset once series two has started here (less than two weeks now, people!). I've decided to leave off downloading the remainder of the series, even though I'm bursting now to see what happens with That One Spoiler (as it is known). Oh, who am I kidding, I'll probably be tripping over to the lj communities to read spoilers and witness the fall-out!

Jericho later tonight. Ah, joy.

Edit: The Classics geek in me just kicked up the most amazing fuss at the tv. Namely because next week on the ABC, they're broadcasting a reenactment of the trial of a murderer that Cicero was defending in the forum (trial of Sextus Roscius the younger, for those classicists playing at home). And was that Paul McGann I saw in a toga? Actually no (now that I've found credits for it), but it was his equally attractive younger brother Mark.

Hey Steph!

I have a new LJ friend for you! I don't know if you read my journal much but I'm currently staying with praeteritio, and you and her have SO MUCH in common. Can she add you?

:)

Hope things are going well. :)

When are you going to Rome? I'm going to be there in August for the first time since I lived there two years ago, and I am sooo excited!

Two weeks in November, which is all I can afford as a poor student presently. :/ I hope to get back there in the next couple of years though, to explore the north of the country. But for this trip, I'm just sticking to Rome and surrounding areas. :)
