Doctor Casanova
Any feelings of resentment I had about David Tennant replacing Christopher Eccleston? Zip. Gone. I'm quite prepared to accept him as Ten now.

Oh, God. Casanova has to have been the best BBC period drama I've seen since The Scarlet Pimpernel. Colourful, completely irreverent, bawdy and just plain brilliant. I really want to type up more here, but all it would amount to is incoherent fangirl 'OMGOMG'-type rambling about Tennant/Peter O'Toole/Matt Lucas/just about everything/one else in this.

Bring on part two. It's on the same night as part one of Mary Bryant, so I will tape one, but Davenport and Tennant in one night? That is a lot of British love.

Current Mood: enthralled enthralled

*makes wibble noises* Still nothing on whether or not Casanova is going to be shown in the states. ALthough, I know it takes forever for things to get here. Just tonight the Sherlock Holmes movie with Rupert Everett and Ian Hart is premeiring...

*hugs* There, there. It'll come soon. And if it doesn't...well, it's already out on dvd here and the ABC Shop do ship overseas. :)

Do post a review of Silk Stocking after you've watched it. It wasn't as good as HotB, but Ian and Jonathan Hyde were lovely.
